Spirit of the wolf

I just finished a new painting, a commission for friends Jesse and Karen. When describing what kind of painting he wanted, all Jesse said was, "don't do any of your cute shit" so, hopefully this works.

I love elephants.

I love making things for people, especially my close friends. I made this painting for Leigh Anne and Miles, for Christmas/B-day. They have a big empty space in their loft. This will fill up the space very well, I think. I haven't named it....I will leave that part up to them.

Art and poms

On Saturday, Ellen, Matt and I went to check out the art opening for artist Samuel Parker at Youngblood.
Matt, my boyfriend has a handful of tattoos done by Sam, so of course we are fans of his amazing art.

While we were hanging out, I realized that maybe I should take some photos of my paintings I have for sale there. I am super stoked to have my stuff at Youngblood's...yay!! Pretty cool.

And THEN, as I was waiting to use the bathroom, I noticed some cool prints by Eleanor Grosch.
I practically freaked out for the pomeranian print. My friend Ellen has the cutest, sweetest pomeranian in the whole world, so naturally I talked her into buying it! Despite her being broke right now, I convinced her that this is an emergency. I think she made the right decision.

YOUNGBLOOD GALLERY RE-OPENING

I went to Youngblood's re-opening on Saturday night. Whoa, was it packed!! Excellent space and location, so there is no doubt that they will be super successful there.

My good friend Valerie Pensworth has her lovely art hanging on the walls. I'm kind of obsessing over a couple of pieces. It was fun!!

Radial Cafe

Yesterday, me and the owner of Radial cafe hung several of my paintings. They fill up the space so well. I am sooo excited! They will be up for the entire month of March. Yippie!!Yay!!

ICE

Saturday, Wren and I had a booth at the Indie Craft festival (ICE). It was located at the B-complex at the west end part of town. Fun but colddddd! Broken windows and drafty warehouse. I sold a few more than a few. Wren sold many of her critters as well. I thought it was a great idea to display my paintings on bricks. Ten trips back and forth to the car made me realize what a not so practical idea that was. My arms are sore today. Damn bricks! Looked good though! Now time to unwind and wait for the next event to roll around. Hopefully I will be more prepared!!!
